Hardman Bantry Bay Triathlon

This is your chance to race on a stunning, challenging course which takes in the very best of West Cork and the Sheeps Head peninsula. With the start and finish set on the spectacular setting of Bantry airfield you will enjoy a swim in Bantry bay, a cycle through West Cork and the Mizen peninsula before taking in the Sheeps Head peninsula. The run takes you along the Sheeps Head again with the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic ocean for company.

Due to the current uncertainty as to how events are to be run we will be holding off on updating the FAQ page until one month before each event. If you are entered into an event already you will have received an e-mail in February outlining the basics until we can update you fully.

What is the start time?

8am sharp

When/where is sign-on?

The Westlodge Hotel Bantry. Friday from 6-8pm. Saturday from 6am to 7am.

When is the race briefing?

7.30am on the runway at Bantry Airfield.

When/where is the prizegiving?

6pm in the main bar of the hotel.

Do I need a TI license?

Yes. This event is sanctioned by Triathlon Ireland, so you require either a full TI license or a one-day license. For team entries, only one person from each team requires a license.

When does registration close?

Thursday July the 30th at midnight or beforehand if sold out.
