Run Valentia Half Marathon and 10k

This is your chance to run in what are undoubtedly Ireland’s most scenic races. Starting from Knightstown on Valentia Island, you are surrounded by the Atlantic on all sides. Enjoy the views of Dingle Bay and the Blaskets to your right and the Skelligs to your left, as you experience a challenging course not to be missed.

Below are some details to help you with race preparation. This list is not definitive and is not subject to change. A much more detailed brief will be sent out in advance of the race. In the meantime contact us if you have any more questions.
When does the race take place?
Saturday 30th March. The half marathon starts at 11am with the 10k starting at 11.15am.
Is there a limit on numbers?
400 for each distance.
When does registration close?
When we reach the above total.
What time and where is number pickup?
Friday the 29th from 6-8pm and Saturday the 30th from 8.30 to 10.30am, both in the function room of the Royal Hotel

What are the race cutoff times?
The half marathon cutoff is at 2pm (3 hours). The 10k is at 1.15pm (2 hours).
Are the routes signposted/marshalled?
Yes there are signs all along the route with marshalls on the main junctions. Maps are available on the race page on the site.
Are there water stops?
On the half marathon at approximately 10kand 15k. For the 10k at the halfway point.
Are there prizes on the day?
Yes for top 3 male and female at each distance.
